2008-2009
Welcome to St. Leon Sunday School! Our mission is to educate our youth spiritually as Armenian Christians. Our classes range from Nursery through grade ten this year. The Nursery begins when your child is age 3 by October 1 st and toilet trained.
We begin at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday with group assemblies. Our younger students then have music where we learn the church sharagans as well as fun, wholesome Christian songs. Then it’s off to class. You will find classes up to grade four in Jessourian Hall below the church, and grades five through ten in the new building.
Throughout the year the students participate in alms giving for the Diocese, and the local community. Last year we helped Camp Tzitzernak in Armenia, and the local food shelters. We also purchased a brick for the new building and fulfilled our pledge to the Building Committee.
There are many fun activities planned for this school year, including Pajama Day and Sports Uniform Day. Check our calendar for more information. We begin on September 7, and end with an Awards Ceremony on June 7. Volunteers are always needed to help our Sunday School run smoothly. Please share your time and talent with us!
Statistics show that children thrive when they receive spiritual guidance. Come be a role model to our youth and join in the fellowship of St Leon Sunday School.
