I welcome you to our church family. We are approximately 400 families actively involved in the life of our church, perpetuating our Armenian Christian tradition here in Fair Lawn. Our Mother See is in Holy Etchmiadzin, Armenia where the Apostles Thaddeus and Bartholomew carried the Good News of Jesus Christ. Through their witness, our patron saint, St. Gregory the Illuminator, converted King Drtad and in 301 A.D. Armenia became the first nation to adopt Christianity as a state religion. We belong to the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church which is headquartered in NYC and our Primate is Archbishop Khajag Barsamian.
Our parishioners travel from northern Bergen and Passaic counties as well as nearby NY counties such as Rockland and Orange to worship and render their service. Liturgy is celebrated in the Armenian language, but sermons and pastoral services can be in English for non-Armenian speaking parishioners.
We have a rich history of traditions and ministry and will enter our 85th year of continual service to the Lord and his flock in 2017. Do, please, scroll through our newly revised and updated website to learn more about our community of faithful. I invite you to call me at the church office at 201-791-2862 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
